Our team of nearly twenty native speakers are available online and face-to-face, working from different locations in Warsaw and the UK.
Charles worked as British Ambassador in Sarajevo, Belgrade and Warsaw. He now offers masterclasses and personal coaching in public speaking, negotiating and other top-end communication skills to international organisations and private clients. He has won two Cicero Awards for speechwriting. His favourite tea is coffee.
An English graduate from Wolverhampton University, Ruth has worked for Deloitte and Transport for London. Since joining us in 2015, Ruth has taught psychiatrists, civil servants, and assistants to international bestselling crime novelists. Her favourite tea is English Breakfast.
An Oxford history graduate, Anthony began teaching English in India in 1994. He set up A Nice Cup of Tea in 2012. Clients have included Katarzyna Bonda, Google, Facebook, and the European Parliament. His favourite tea is Lapsang Souchong.
With a degree in Music from Bath Spa University in the west of England, together with a CELTA qualification, Emma has been teaching English since 2008. She is particularly experienced and successful in teaching children. Her favourite tea is Lemon balm with Quince.
A Law graduate from Oxford University, Nicholas is a qualified English solicitor, radio & TV presenter, blogger, as well as vice-chair of the British Polish Chamber of Commerce. His students include other lawyers, management consultants, and financial directors. His second favourite tea is Darjeeling.
Zosia grew up in Colorado, USA, where she studied Architecture. She is TEFL certified. Zosia’s artistic talents include dance and theatre. She joined A Nice Cup of Tea in 2020 after moving to Poland. Zosia is especially successful teaching children. Her favourite tea is matcha.
Having grown up in London, Justyna moved to Australia, where she studied International Business & Politics at Murdoch University, Perth. A rare polyglot, Justyna speaks French, German, Italian, Spanish, Indonesian, Hebrew, and - perhaps the Holy Grail of linguistic difficulty - Polish. CELTA qualified, Justyna has worked in four different continents. Her third favourite tea is turmeric.
Joe read English Literature at Chichester University in the south of England, and is both CELTA and CELTYL qualified. He has taught English in Poland since 2008 and holds an MA in British Studies from Warsaw University. His passion is cars and his second favourite tea is mint.
Nicolas was born in Budapest, where his parents worked for the British Council. He studied Agronomy, before an international career in manufacturing. He began English teaching decades ago, with Japanese businessmen in Tokyo. Married to a Polish wife, he enjoys classical literature and music. His favourite tea is Oolong.
A Nice Cup of Tea offers an approach to the learning and improvement of English at the highest of levels. Classes are not only lessons; they are fascinating, comprehensively educational encounters, not only due to the diverse and interesting teaching materials employed, but also thanks to the unique personality of the founder of the school, Mr Anthony Goltz.
Resourcefulness, imagination, and passion. This special blend ensures that Anthony’s students remain full of inspiration and motivation.
Rc2, a public relations agency, has cooperated with A Nice Cup of Tea since 2014. They have performed complex translations of documents for various projects, including presentation editing and the translation of corporate materials, including press releases. The team are highly professional and efficient, very flexible in time, and competitively priced.
Anthony gave me several ingredients whose mixture is unobtainable in Warsaw (and probably in Poland). This delicious recipe combines spot on, Oxford quality English, with the certainty of error free copy in our newspapers and documents. This competency is enhanced by a journalistic curiosity in world events, voracious intelligence, and a genuine concern for the student. Anthony is the sort of teacher you remember years later because you didn't wish to disillusion them.
If you’re searching for the perfect bespoke service – this is the place for you. Zero boredom; translations always on time. The native speaker adapts to your needs and goals, both short and long term. Lessons are tremendously fun, yet at the same time I have never felt so disciplined. A Nice Cup of Tea is probably the best language school in Poland.
Education, motivation, and support – all with a dose of British humour – there is no place quite like it in Poland. Anthony is a wonderfully effective teacher and a passionate conversationalist. His learning and incisive observations on the most pressing current affairs ensure that each lesson is an inspiration, where themes are always tailored to individual need.
I enjoy a feeling of safety and confidence, knowing that I am learning that precise flawless English, which for me - passionate that I am for correct Polish - carries great significance. The careful tailoring to my interests and needs is revelatory. Most valuable is the adjustment to my expectations, when I can count on assistance and support at the drop of a hat. And one more thing - trust.
Accurate translations - received on time, even to the minute. Equally competent whether translating academic texts or editing CVs. Working with this team of professional native speakers, also fluent in Polish, guarantees that translations are more than just a literal sequence of sentences - they take into account the very idiom of the English language.
My acquaintance with Anthony is no accident. I spent many years searching for such an individual. In my profession I require technical translations of the most difficult medical texts. I truly appreciate his enormous commitment, timeliness and incredible diligence. As the Japanese say, “Tea is a work of art and needs a master hand to bring out its noblest qualities”.
